Hai Nguyen

Chair, WLVBC

Hai Nguyen joined the WLVBC Board in July 2018 to serve as Chair of the Club.  He returns to for his 4th season for WLVBC with the U16 team.  Coach Hai is in his 5th season of coaching Loudoun Youth Volleyball League for rec volleyball in the elementary and middle schools.  He coached two seasons at the House Level and two seasons at the Open 1 level and is currently coaching the Open 2 level.  You can also find him coaching the WLVBC SSS program in the Winter and Grass/Sand program in the summer. He continues to play for fun as well as competes in tournaments.  Hai loves volleyball and loves to learn and teach; coaching is a perfect mix for him. During work hours, Hai serves as an Electrical Engineer in Germantown, MD for Boeing.  Hai has 2 daughters that have played for WLVBC for several years each and both currently play for Loudoun Valley High School.  Hai is really excited to give back and serve in this roll for the club.

Hutton Michelle

Michelle Hutton

Director, WLVBC

Michelle Hutton joined the WLVBC Board in March of 2017 to assist with the ordering and distribution of uniforms and spirit wear, as well as other administrative tasks that support the club.  Michelle and her family have lived in Purcellville for 17 years and her daughter has played with WLVBC for five years and currently plays for Loudoun Valley High School. Michelle was an assistant coach for the Loudoun Youth Volleyball League (LYV) out of Blue Ridge Middle School for one season. Prior to starting a family, Michelle worked in Human Resources. Most recently, Michelle worked as a substitute teacher for Loudoun County Public School for 7 years, and she currently works in the Office of Admission at Patrick Henry College.

Jenea Harrell

Treasurer, WLVBC

Jenea Harrell stepped in as Treasurer starting the 2019 club season to assist with financial responsibilities for the club.  Jenea has lived in Purcellville for 10 years, along with her husband and 3 children.  Her daughter has played with WLVBC for the past 4 years and currently plays for Loudoun Valley High School.  Other than the volleyball court, you can find Jenea on the baseball field supporting her two sons.

Outside of sports, Jenea recently became a Registered Nurse and currently works in Ashburn, VA.

Lisa Nguyen

Communications/Website, WLVBC

Lisa Nguyen joined the Board in Fall 2015 as our Communications and Public Relations person.  She manages the website, creates communication flyers, submits articles to the local papers, assists with running the summer sand program and has Asst coached for 4 years.  Lisa has served as the local representative for the Loudoun Youth Volleyball League (LYV) out of Blue Ridge Middle School since 2013.  Lisa is Safesport and IMPACT Certified.

Lisa has 2 daughters that have been on WLVBC teams in the past and both play for Loudoun Valley High School.  Her husband is currently a coach for the program.  Lisa and her family have lived in Purcellville for 17 years.

Outside of her board position, Lisa works in the Human Resources profession.

Dave McGuigan

Uniforms and Graphic Design

Dave McGuigan oversees uniforms, t-shirts and graphic designs. Dave joined the WLVBC board in the summer of 2017. He is a certified CAP I coach and is a certified SafeSport coach.

 

Dave has more than 22 years of volleyball coaching experience including 2 at the Division III collegiate level, 18 at the High School Varsity level, 7 at the Middle School level and 5 at the travel volleyball level (some all at the same time). Coach McGuigan led James Wood High School to the its first two State Final 4 appearances in the Virginia VHSL AA Division in 1997 and 1998 (at that time there were only 3 divisions; A, AA & AAA).
